Small number of Awapuni horses entered for Hastings this Saturday:

MOORISH (Trainer Mark Oulaghan) ran a very good race when sixth at Waipukurau hitting the line well late in the piece over the 1600m. Last time out at Woodville she disappointed on a Heavy track again over the 1600m. In the first on Saturday she is going to strike far better conditions and we feel this could see a form reversal. Masa Tanaka rides and she could represent some value.

TICKET CLIPPER (Trainer Jeff Lynds) was a good winner at Tauherenikau at the end of March over the 2050m at Rating 65 level. He then went to Hastings a fortnight ago and probably got to the front a tad early for his liking but did well to fight on for second. in the sixth on Saturday he meets a very imilar line up to last time ut over the 2100m.

BUSHFIRE (Trainer Tony Bambry) resumed from a very long break with a massive run at Hastings a fortnight ago over the 1200m. He went down to the promising Flamingo that day but made up a stack of ground from the 600m when he only had one behind him. Again he has drawn badly on Saturday over 1200m but that will not worry and he is capable of going one better in the eighth of the day.
