Form analysis and tips:

Manawatu Racing Club - Saturday February 11th Rail - True Position

Race 1 Murray Free Contracting Ltd Maiden (Maiden 1300m) Mystigan has run three good placings in this preparation and a win does not look far away. Prince Oz found the Special Conditions too tough at Wellington and can bounce back from a handy draw. Rusty In Melbourne was a good second resuming but was another who found it too tough in the Special Conditions at Wellington. Artaxerxes is on debut and won its most recent trial.  8 - 1 - 9 - 6

Race 2 Chris Gommans Contracting 3YO Maiden (3YO Mdn 1200m) A very even line up with plenty of chances. Margot is resuming and showed ability in her last campaign. She had a recent trial win and should be hard to beat from barrier one. Don Blanco showed ability in his three runs last year and placed in a recent trial and will jump from barrier two. Admire was good when runner up at matamata last time and travels dwon from the Brendon Hawtin stable. Outstanding ran a cracking race at Wellington last time for third and despite the big drop in distance can feature.  Others chance sinclude Saint Croix and Chouxperb. 6 - 1 - 5 - 2

Race 3 Rowden Electrical Handicap (Rating 65 1200m) Yemanya was impressive clearing maiden ranks at Wanganui then ran a top race for fourth at Wellington in a very strong 3YO field. Jet Charged did just that when coming home at a great rate from well back in the field for second at Wellington last time out. Platinum Valence was cuaght three wide lasttime but his run previously at Wanganui fro fourth was good. The Bandito has been runner up in his last two and another win is not far away. 10 - 4 - 9 - 1

Race 4 Aranui Harvesters Handicap (Rating 75 1400m) Miss Wilson was super impressive when resuming at Wellington and the step up to 1400m will not worry. Abbey Road has come solid this campaign and after an unlucky fifth he followed up with an easy win last time over the 1600m. The step back in distance will not worry. Prosecco ran two good races at Wellington and should be charging home while DeeDee Panache showed anough ability as a 3YO. She placed in a recent trial. 5 - 1 - 3 - 4

Race 5 Carters Ashhurst Pohangina Cup (Opn Hcp 1400m) Shadows Cast returned to the winners circle at Tauherenikau and was then a game third in the Douro. Three of his four wins have been at the 1400m. Overtheriver was the winner of this race last year and has been freshened since his third in the Greymouth Cup. Shadow Fox and Morse Code look like the pacemakers and if they dont cut each other in half they can figure in the finish. 6 - 1 - 5 - 3

Race 6 Wenham Grain & Seed Handicap (Rating 75 2100m) Jumanah was a good winner at Waikato before just going under here last time out. Stephenstihls won two in a row well before battling in a top field at Ellerslie. He is up to a middle distance for the first time. Sanjara won the Woodvilel Cup on this track and was a game second on Monday at Tauherenikau. Hare Bawl has been getting no luck in his runs and is a past course & distance winner. 5 - 4 - 1 - 9

Race 7 The Tank Guy Maiden (Mdn 1600m) Audacious has run two godd races in her short career and the step up to 1600m looks made to order. Starossa ran home well for asecond here last time and is another that will appreciate the extra distance. Handfull was better when fourth at Otaki and then was run down late when second here. The Rippa ran two good races before being tripped up by the track here last time.  12 - 10 - 6 - 8

Race 8 Ashhurst Inn Business Hourses Handicap (Rating 65 1600m) Scoota Brown had absolutely no luck when resuming and if he gets a clear run will be very hard to beat. Tarihira was good when fifth at Wellington in a Rating 75 race. Angel In Bluejeans was back to teh 1600m and not far off Heisenberg when seventh while Suspect run should be best forgotten at Wellington and punters should work off his fourth at Otaki. 4 - 3 - 5 - 1
